Affected
White and navy multiple tower extension lead with three plug sockets and six USB sockets, in addition to switch on the extension lead itself. The product is packaged in grey cardboard packaging with black and red text, and an image of the product on the face.
The problem
The product presents a serious risk of electric shock as it is insufficiently earthed and supplied with a noncompliant ‘clover’-style plug.

Hazard

The product presents a serious risk of electric shock as it is insufficiently earthed, and is supplied with a ‘clover’ style plug which does not meet the requirements of the relevant standard, BS 1363. There is less than 9.5mm between the edge of the live pin and the side of the plug face, meaning it is possible for users to touch the live pin when plugging in, or unplugging the plug from the socket. The product also requires improvement to marking, labelling and documentation.

The product does not meet the requirements of the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016.

Corrective action

OPSS are requiring the recall of the product from end users.

The listing has been removed by the online marketplace (Wish).
