Hazard

The product presents a risk of injuries because the cot may overturn when subjected to a horizontal force while assembled with its castors fitted. This could result in a child falling from the cot and sustaining injuries. The sample examined was also found to have a sharp wood splinter on one of the side bars and an exposed rough edge, which could cause cuts or lacerations during normal use.

The product does not meet the requirements of the General Product Safety Regulations 2005

Corrective action

The manufacturer, Babymore, has removed the castors from existing stock and future production. Retailers and consumers have been provided with updated safety information.

Owners of affected products are advised to follow the instructions of the manufacturer. The product may continue to be used without the castors fitted.
