Hazard

The product presents a risk of fire as it is fitted with a plug with an incorrectly rated fuse. Under fault conditions, this could cause the plug and/or product to overheat and ignite, causing a fire. Additionally, the transformer has insufficient creepage and clearance distances, and does not meet the insulation requirements for Class II equipment. Improvements are also required to marking, labelling and documentation.

The product does not meet the requirements of the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016 or the Plugs & Sockets etc. (Safety) Regulations 1994.

Corrective action

The import has been rejected at the border and destroyed.
