Yes – some of these vehicles are being recalled
- What's wrong
- On affected vehicles the engine piston crown may develop a crack and create elevated crankcase pressure which may cause the rocker cover to fracture. A fractured rocker cover may allow oil to escape increasing the risk of a fire.
- What to do
- Contact a Cummins dealer to book the free repair. Fit a crankcase pressure sensor which will trigger an associated fault code and provide visible warning that crankcase pressures are above normal levels.
