Hazard

The product presents a serious chemical risk as the USB cable was found to contain phthalates. Phthalates may harm the health of children, possibly causing damage to the reproductive system.

The product also presents a risk of choking because the battery compartment can be opened without tools. The batteries are easily accessible, and if accessed by a young child, could be placed in the mouth causing the child to choke.

The product does not meet the requirements of the REACH Regulations 2008 and the Toys (Safety) Regulations 2011.

Corrective action

The import has been rejected at the border and destroyed.

The listing has been removed by the online marketplace (eBay).
