Hazard
The product poses a high risk of electric shock because a person can touch a part that is at high voltage and may be electrocuted. The exposed metal parts of the lampholder were separated from live parts only by basic insulation. There was no provision for earthing of the lampholder. The instructions did not contain adequate safety information and details to ensure the safe use of the product.
This product does not meet the requirements of the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016.
Corrective action
The import has been rejected at the border. The listing has also been removed by the online marketplace (Amazon).
