Hazard
The charger presents a high risk of fire as it has insufficient creepage and clearance distances and insulation. Under fault conditions, the charger could overheat and ignite, causing a fire. Additionally, the dimensions of the plug face did not prevent access to live parts, exposing an electric shock hazard. Improvements are required to marking, labelling and documentation.
The product does not meet the requirements of the Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations 2008.
Corrective action
The import has been rejcted at the border and destroyed.
