What’s wrong
Moisture could enter the micro switches in the seat control unit and lead to intermittent shorting such that the power adjustable driver�s seat may intermittently not operate or may move forwards rearwards up down or recline without the drivers input. Unintentional movement of the driver�s seat may affect the driver�s ability to control the vehicle increasing the risk of a collision.
The fix
Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected and fit a new control unit which includes the micro switches in the driver�s seat.
