Hazard

The product presents a serious risk of fire as the plug does not meet the dimensional requirements of BS 1363. The live and neutral pins are less than 9.5mm from the periphery, and the product has insufficient insulation. Under fault conditions or a surge in current, the plug could catch fire and/or explode.

The product does not meet the requirements of the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016 and the Plugs and Sockets (Safety) Regulations 1994.

Corrective action

The import has been rejected at the border and destroyed.
