Hazard
The product presents a high risk of fire as it has been supplied with inadequately sized plug pins. The plug pins are too high and so do not make proper contact with the connections, causing damage to the socket. Over time, this would cause the pins to become worn down and damaged, possibly causing them to overheat and catch fire.
The product does not meet the requirements of the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016 or the Plugs & Sockets etc. (Safety) Regulations 1994.
Corrective action
The import has been rejected at the border and destroyed.
The listing has been removed by the online marketplace (Amazon).
