Hazard

The product presents a serious risk of fire because the mains plug is not fitted with an appropriate fuse link and does not meet the dimensional requirements of BS 1363. A compliant fuse is needed to protect against faults; without one, the plug could overheat or explode. The live and neutral pins are narrower than permitted, and the ISOD pin is shorter than permitted. The plug also fails to meet the insulation requirements. In addition, the product is supplied without the required instructions or safety information.

The product does not meet the requirements of the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016 or the Plugs and Sockets (Safety) Regulations 1994.

Corrective action

The product has been withdrawn from the market by LEDSone UK Limited (Electricalsone).
