Affected
The Northern Diver transit suit is designed to be worn by commercial workers for transit by boat on water e.g. offshore windfarms, but can also be used for other on-water activity where warmth and protection from water is required.
The problem
The product has not undergone conformity assessment as PPE, it is not CE or UKCA marked and there is no Declaration of Conformity as PPE
What to do
Owners are advised to stop using this equipment and contact the distributor they purchased it from or contact Northern Diver.

Hazard

The product is marketed under the Northern Diver brand and advertised for commercial use (e.g. offshore windfarms) and water sports and as such should have been conformity assessed as Category II Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

The product has not undergone conformity assessment as PPE, it is not CE or UKCA marked and there is no Declaration of Conformity as PPE. The product is not in conformity with Regulation (EU) 2016/425 as enforced by the Personal Protective Equipment (Enforcement) Regulations 2018.

Corrective action

Recall of the product from end users. Withdrawal of the product from the market.

Owners are advised to stop using this equipment and contact the distributor they purchased it from or contact Northern Diver.
