Hazard
The product presents a high risk of electric shock as it features poor quality connections and wires soldered directly to the PCB. The creepage and clearance distances are also insufficient, and the plug does not meet the dimensional requirements of BS 1363. Improvements are also required to product labelling and marking.
The product does not meet the requirements of the Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations 2008 and the Plugs & Sockets etc. (Safety) Regulations 1994.
Corrective action
The import has been rejected at the border and destroyed.
