Hazard
The product presents a serious risk of electric shock as the plug pins are too close to the plug periphery and do not comply with the dimensional requirements of BS 1363. The user could touch the pins while removing or inserting the plug, potentially leading to electric shock. Improvements are also required to product marking and labelling.
The product does not meet the requirements of the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016 or the Plugs & Sockets etc. (Safety) Regulations 1994.
Corrective action
The import has been rejected at the border and destroyed. The listing has been removed by the online marketplace (eBay).
