Hazard
The product presents a risk of electric shock as live parts can be accessed without tools. Additionally, the plug does not contain a ballast and is considered counterfeit. The ballast is required to ensure the safe operation of the fuse under fault conditions, and its absence could lead to the plug overheating and/or exploding.
The product does not meet the requirements of the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016 and the Plugs and Sockets etc. (Safety) Regulations 1994.
Corrective action
The product has been recalled the product from end users. Owners are advised to stop using this product immediately, unplug it and ensure it is stored safely.
