Hazard
The product presents a serious risk of fire because it is fitted with a counterfeit fuse which does not meet the requirements of BS 1362. In the event of a failure in the electrical system, the fuse may not function as expected and therefore will be unable to prevent fire/ explosion. Improvements are also required to product documentation, marking and labelling.
The product does not meet the requirements of the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016 and the Plugs and Sockets etc. (Safety) Regulations 1994.
Corrective action
The import has been rejected at the border and destroyed.
