Hazard
The product presents a high risk of fire as it is missing a thermal fuse and therefore has no overtemperature protection. This may result in the product overheating and catching fire. In addition, the plug supplied does not have a valid BSI Kitemark licence number and is deemed to be counterfeit. Some documentation and markings were not present.
The product does not meet the requirements of the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016 or the Plugs & Sockets etc. (Safety) Regulations 1994.
Corrective action
The import has been rejected at the border and destroyed.
