Hazard

The product presents a serious risk of electric shock as it is inadequately earthed and does not make the consumer aware in the instructions. If the product was to have a fault, there would be no earthing to stop it from becoming live, and without the consumer knowing, could give them an electric shock. The LED driver did not include an adequate means for anchoring the supply cord. The LED driver failed the electric strength test. It allowed a flashover when the 1250 V test voltage was applied between the input and earthed metal parts. Also, the appliance was inadequately earthed because the earth terminal had not been marked with the correct symbol, The clamping means was not adequately secured against accidental loosening, The contact surfaces were not of bare metal and the earth wire had an inadequate cross sectional area. The product is not accompanied by adequate instructions and safety information in a language easily understood by consumers and other end-users.
