The product presents a high risk of burns as the product is fitted with an unsafe fuse. The fuse wire had been soldered to the outside of the fuse affecting the safe function of the fuse.

The import has been rejected and destroyed at the border.

Hazard

The product presents a high risk of burns as the product is fitted with an unsafe fuse. The fuse wire had been soldered to the outside of the fuse affecting the safe function of the fuse. A fault could occur and cause the plug to explode from the wall causing a fire. This could then burn the consumer who is using or near the product.

The product does not meet the requirements of the Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations 2008.

Corrective action
