Hazard

The products present a serious risk of electric shock as the earthing arrangement on the appliances was considered inadequate. If the product is mishandled, the poor earthing could cause the product to become live, and therefore give the user an electric shock due to its metal shell. The instructions provided were inadequate as they did not contain sufficient information to ensure the correct and safe use of the equipment.

The products do not meet the requirements of the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016.

Corrective action

The imports have been rejected at the border.
