Hazard
The product presents a high risk of electric shock as the dimensions of the sleeved parts of the plug pin differed from the metal parts of the pins. This resulted in a distinct step between the two. This could cause damage to the
socket and undue wear and tear to the sleeve. As the plug does not fit into a gauge correctly, this could make the product likely to cause harm to the user due to the live and earth pins not making contact correctly.
The product does not meet the requirements of the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016
Corrective action
The import has been rejected at the border and destroyed.
