Hazard
The product presents a risk of electric shock as the power supply does not provide adequate electrical isolation between the mains input and DC output. A breakdown of the reinforced insulation occurred during electric strength testing, which could result in hazardous mains voltages becoming accessible at the DC output. The mains plug also does not meet the dimensional requirements of BS 1363 and cannot make a secure connection with the socket. This could lead to the plug overheating and igniting, causing a fire.
The product does not meet the requirements of the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016 or the Plugs and Sockets etc. (Safety) Regulations 1994.
Corrective action
The import has been rejected at the border.
