Hazard

The product presents a serious risk of injuries as the metal bends and could collapse under repeated normal use. If the ladder were to collapse while in use, the user could fall and receive serious injuries.

The dimensions of the ladder also failed to meet the requirements of the relevant standard, and the ladder allowed different distances between rungs while in use. There is also no protection in place to prevent squeezing when the ladder is being collapsed. The product requires improvements to marking and labelling.

The product does not meet the requirements of the General Product Safety Regulations 2005.

Corrective action

The import has been rejected at the border and destroyed.

The listing has been removed by the online marketplace (eBay).
