BMW 3 SERIES SALOON recall: The tandam vacuum/oil pump may fail

What's wrong
The fault involves the tandem vacuum/oil pump fitted to the engine. On affected vehicles it is possible that the engine rotates in the opposite direction than it is meant to on start-up causing the tandem pump to fail.
What to do
Contact a BMW dealer to book the free repair. On the affected vehicles the control unit (DME) will be programmed to prevent the failure from occuring.

What’s wrong
