What's wrong
On affected vehicles the seat mechanism of the front left seat may not have been manufactured within accordance to specifications It is possible that an incorrectly sized rivet was used during production. As a result the mechanism may fail in the event of an accident.
What to do
Contact a BMW dealer to book the free repair. On affected vehicles the front left seat mechanism will be checked and if necessary replaced.
