- On affected vehicles the starter motor may be overloaded due to repeated lengthy attempts to start the engine as the software based overload protection is not sufficient.
- What to do
- Contact a BMW dealer to book the free repair. On affected vehicles improved software will be installed on the DME (engine starter motor electronics control unit)
