Hazard

The product presents a serious risk of fire as there is no evidence that the product has been assessed using relevant UK conformity assessment procedures, as a valid Declaration of Conformity was not supplied. There is no valid technical documentation for the product, and the machinery is not marked with required information. Improvements are also required to the product instructions.  Additionally, the product was supplied with a 2-pin plug on the power supply cord, which is not permitted for sale on the UK market. In the absence of evidence to demonstrate the conformity of the product, it may be possible for it to overheat and catch fire.

The product does not meet the requirements of the Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations 2008.

Corrective action

The import has been rejected at the border.
