Hazard
The product presents a high risk of fire as the product’s plug had a counterfeit fuse which was not supplied with any granular filler and which was too short and small. If a fault was to occur, the fuse would not function which could lead to a fire. The plug also did not meet the requirements of the relevant standard, with the lengths of the live, neutral and earth pins too short.
The product requires improvements to markings, labelling and documentation and does not meet the requirements of the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016.
