- Due to water ingress the tailgate power module may develop a short circuit. This may cause the module to fail and in extreme cases

- Contact a Jeep dealer to book the free repair. Check affected vehicles for water ingress and modules for corrosion. Where necessary rectify water ingress replace power module and connectors and fit a power module water shield
