Hazard
The product presents a serious risk of electric shock as the transformer was of a poor build quality, had insufficient creepage and clearance distances, and had an excessively long live pin. Improvements are also required to marking, labelling and documentation.
The product does not meet the requirements of the Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations 2008.
Corrective action
The import has been rejected at the border and the product withdrawn from the market.
