Suzuki recall: Engine may stall
Yes – some of these vehicles are being recalled
- What's wrong
- It is possible for contamination to get between the tappet and the cam and cause surface damage and wear to the cam. If this condition occurs the valve clearance can become large and cause abnormal engine noises and in worst case engine to stall.
- What to do
- Contact a Suzuki dealer to book the free repair. Recall the machines that are likely to be affected and check the tappet clearances and in some cases replace cams and adjust tappets.
