The product presents a serious risk of injuries as the fork steerer tube can crack, leading to the detachment of the bicycle stem and handlebar.

Hazard

The product presents a risk of injuries as it has been identified that in certain circumstances, the fork steerer tube can crack or break which would lead to the detachment of the bike stem and handlebar. This may lead to a fall and injury.

The product does not meet the requirements of the General Product Safety Regulations 2005.

Corrective action

The product has been recalled from end users.

Canyon is stopping sales of the Affected Products and:

  1. Sending a notification directly to consumers via available contact details to stop use of the product immediately until assessed by a professional bike mechanic.

  2. Assessment and, where necessary, repair of the product by a professional bike mechanic.
