Hazard

The product presents a risk of choking as the battery compartment of the piano can open following impact, allowing the three AAA batteries to be released. The batteries fit wholly within the small parts cylinder and could therefore be placed in the mouth and swallowed by a child under 36 months, potentially causing choking. The wooden teething ring can also break into pieces following impact. The broken components are small parts which could become lodged in the mouth or throat of a child who cannot sit up unaided, potentially causing internal airway obstruction.

The product does not meet the requirements of the Toys (Safety) Regulations 2011.

Corrective action

The import has been rejected at the border.
