Affected
The Vitorondens 200T/222F is a residential oil condensing boiler with a Vitoflame 300 blue‑flame burner, cast‑iron primary and stainless‑steel secondary heat exchanger. It is managed by an LMO burner control and Vitotronic system.
The problem
The product presents a high risk of asphyxiation as testing has indicated that some 2021-2023 boilers may ignite late, causing pressure damage and possible CO leaks.
What to do
Veissmann have notified end users who are affected by this issue and have warned installers of the risks.

Hazard

The product presents a high risk of asphyxiation as testing has indicated that some 2021-2023 boilers may ignite late, causing pressure damage and possible CO leaks. This could expose people in the building to unsafe exhaust gases and potentially lead to asphyxiation.

Corrective action

Veissmann have notified end users who are affected by this issue and have warned installers of the risks.  

Affected users will receive a replacement ignition module and burner control unit, and a CO detector with shut-off function or conversion of the burner to current series configuration with pressure sensor.
