What’s wrong

As part of our continuous product monitoring we have identified that due to insufficient contact pressure from the front turn signal indicator socket inside the headlamp unit loss of contact may occur during driving operation. As a consequence of the loss of contact thermal damage may occur on the sockets' contact surfaces which may cause the turn signal indicator to fail. There is currently no information on damage or accidents that are connected to the fault profile mentioned.

The fix

As part of the planned product safety recall the bulb holders of the turn signal lamps of both main headlamps on the potentially affected vehicles will be checked and replaced if found to be defective.
